In this process, the rice variety “Navra” which has great nutritional value is cooked with milk and an herbal decoction made of an herb called ‘Kurunthotti’. The mixture so produced is put in puffy muslin bags
which are then used to pound the body of the patient by two trained therapists. The treatment goes on for up to 60 to 90 minutes and is repeated over a period of 7 to 21 days.
